Job Responsibilities

  • Buying of stock and liaising with suppliers on a daily basis
  • Negotiation with suppliers with regards to pricing of products
  • Issuing purchase orders, checking goods received against PO and processing PO’s
  • Daily checking of stock levels and liaising with Branch Manager on ordering
  • Daily follow ups on ordered stock status from suppliers
  • Managing stock pick up manifests for trucks to collect at suppliers
  • Daily communication to Branch manager on all aspects of Stock Controlling
  • Daily communication to all sales people on stock received.
  • Receive and check stock to delivery notes
  • Record damages and shortage
  • Receive and collate DC pick notes
  • Allocate pick notes to warehouse staff
  • Monitor status of pick notes
  • Picking, Packing and stacking of stock
  • Perform daily counts of stock and assist with quarterly stock counts
  • Ensuring warehouse is neat and tidy at all times
Minimum Requirements
  • Grade 12 or equivalent NQF level 4 qualification
  • Valid Code B driver’s licence
  • Previous buying and stock control experience in a similar industry
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook and Syspro
  • Good communication and negotiation skills


  •  Working hours are 07:30 – 17:00 Mondays to Fridays and every alternative Saturday from 08:00 – 13:00 in accordance with a roster system
  • Overtime required from time to time
  • Will be required to undergo a criminal record clearance check
